Description
The Senior Brand Planner is responsible for the day to day aggregation, analysis and delivery of audience insights and intelligence to creative and brand team members and clients across 3 primary accounts. Also serve as lead on periodic, project-based branding exercises including identification of practical methodology, management and execution of that project and overseeing creative team translation. You will be part of our Strategic Planning department where collectively we explore new tools and technology to further our insights and intelligence capabilities as well as workshop with team members in support of/perspective sharing for project others are overseeing.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as lead brand strategist for 3 - 4 key clients on CP roster, including day-to-day stewardship and application of key insights and strategic imperatives
  • Independent management and execution of research projects
  • Collaborate and advise broader brand teams that consist of various departments and marketing disciplines including brand management, creative, digital design/UX, social, media & analytics
  • Periodic strategic collaboration with other planners within department
  • Development of appropriate research methodology & deliverable recommendations based on objectives, timing and budget parameters
  • Sound organization and analysis of aggregated data and translation of key data points to inform strategic opportunity - across audience-segmentation, brand-level and campaign-level messaging
  • Client presentation of key findings and appropriate story-telling to represent empathic representation of target audience
  • Supervise and mentor a junior level planner
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required – Psychology, Sociology, or neuroscience concentrations are ideal but not required.
  • 4 – 5 years of agency experience, specifically in Planner role
  • Familiar with various online audience research tools and intel sources including MRI, Mintel, Warc, Iconoculture, online survey makers such as QuestionPro or Survey Monkey
  • Presentation software proficiency (Keynote or Google Slides preferred, but Powerpoint also okay)
  • Adept storyteller
  • Passion for problem solving
  • Data and technology enthusiast preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
