Associate Search Marketing Director

 

The Associate Search Marketing Director is a client-facing role, responsible for the strategy and day-to-day management of Paid Search activity (including Paid Social, as warranted) for their clients.  The ideal candidate will have the skills necessary to hone and exhibit a comprehensive knowledge of both the paid search industry and their clients’ businesses, while successfully managing media projects, workflow and support staff.  The Associate Search Marketing Director also works with Director of Media Services and Media Directors to successfully integrate SEM into other media platforms and agency disciplines, and ultimately help grow the Paid Search Marketing practice at Connelly Partners

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and own the day-to-day management of the paid search team, including the development of search marketing strategy for accounts, and driving growth and maximizing our clients' business performance in search
  • Advise on all Paid Search matters
  • Responsible for oversight of campaign execution details, budgets/accounting and performance, including ensuring adherence to best practices during set up
  • Detailed understanding of the client’s product, marketing objectives and digital goals with an emphasis on paid search, ensuring recommendations are insightful and consistent.
  • Interface and present to senior clients on a regular basis
  • Drive the development of Search Marketing and Platform Media Managers
  • Develop and write up standard methodologies for improving operational efficiencies within the team and the group
  • Keep senior management apprised of key client opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the health of the business
  • Develop positive relationships with search community, vendors and Directors for optimal service levels and results
  • Contribute to new business growth by playing an active role in new business prospecting and pitches

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of relevant Paid Search experience, including significant client-facing and relationship management experience
  • Prior experience managing a team demonstrating a proven track record in training and growing junior team members
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of search engines, working knowledge of search shopping
  • Working knowledge of Paid Social a plus
  • We seek a motivated self-starter who can prioritize tasks, be a decision-maker, and work both on a team and independently
  • Excellent verbal and written skills; exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and attention to detail
