Assistant Public Relations & Social Media Manager

Connelly Partners seeks an Assistant Public Relations + Social Media Assistant Manager to work in Boston's fastest-growing integrated marketing agency. We're looking for someone who's a self-starter, detail-oriented, AND a team player. This person has to be an excellent, enthusiastic, and proficient writer who is interested in the industries of public relations, social media, and influencer marketing. Loves words, images, and REALLY loves to make them work in harmony. With the changing media landscape, this person should possess a strong understanding of the latest and greatest social media platforms and how to implement a social media strategy across them. He or she should grasp the importance of influencer marketing and are excited by the idea of planning and executing multi-tiered influencer campaigns for national brands. This person should regularly consume news from a variety of sources (newspapers, online sites, and consumer magazines) and possess a general understanding of how he or she can help to leverage a client’s story in them. Responsibilities:

• Social community management. You know how to run a social community and are comfortable switching voices for different clients.
• Create engaging social content across multiple platforms for a variety of clients on a daily basis.
• Provide detailed social media reporting with strong attention to detail.
• Attend client meetings and calls to gain an understanding of the process.
• Research social media news, platform developments, and trending content ideas.
• Work closely with PR team to develop integrated influencer plans that enhance clients’ social plans. This includes influencer research, negotiation, and content management.
• Deep understanding of the various social platforms, the strengths and weakness of each, and the specific opportunities they create.
• Draft media materials and pitch local, regional, and national media with client news. Track client coverage and handle the creation of monthly status reports.
• Mentor interns and assist in their interview/hiring process.

Requirements:

• 0 - 1 years social of experience. Please note ONLY candidates with relevant internships in social media, PR or influencer marketing fields will be considered.
• Must be graduated from college
• Excellent writing skills
• Active personal social channels and understanding of how to use Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
• Aggressive, go-getter attitude
• A keen eye for detail
• College degree with a major in English, Journalism, Communications…or something with a good story behind it
