SENIOR UX DESIGNER
 

The Senior User Experience Designer applies strategic and user-centric driven thinking to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams daily. They can sketch out any idea quickly and articulate them in a simple and clear way. Conducting user research and synthesizing it into artifacts like personas is part of their role as well as shaping the information architecture of products with sitemaps, user scenarios and user flows. Relentless attention to detail is required to create wireframes and functional specifications at a fast pace for highly complex solutions. Creating complex interactive prototypes in varying levels of fidelity is also part of the role. (Reports to Associate UX Director / UX Director)

Responsibilities

  • Deep knowledge of user-centric design, information architecture, experience strategy, and associated qualitative and quantitative customer research techniques
  • Work directly with clients to develop user experience strategy and vision
  • Conduct user and stakeholder research/workshops, synthesizing findings into measures of success for the project
  • Audit and evaluate the usability of both existing client properties, as well as relevant competitors
  • Participate in team brainstorming and idea generation activities
  • Work collaboratively with creative, technology and project management team members throughout project duration to ensure success
  • Provide input into scoping UX portion of projects
  • Produce UX outputs including sitemaps, wireframes, navigation structures, user personas
  • Create prototypes as needed to test interaction concepts
  • Oversee the implementation of solutions and provide tactical interaction design as required
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to lead the presentation of work and drive a conversation with clients
  • Work with broader CP Digital team to define internal methodologies
  • Assist junior UX team members in professional development

 

Qualifications

 

  • 4+ years of experience in a User Experience or Interaction Design role
  • Demonstrated ability to launch products successfully and efficiently
  • Ability to lead and/or participate in multiple projects
  • Fluency in Sketch, Adobe Experience Design, Axure, InVision, Framer, etc.
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating experience leading or managing the design of complex systems across multiple platforms
