About the Position
We need an experienced, resourceful, poised account person who will be responsible for managing multiple integrated accounts in the insurance, finance, automotive and transportation categories, as well as working on new business pitches. You’ll do well at CP if you are curious, ambitious, self-driven, strive to go above and beyond expectations, and above all, are a team player with empathy. This is a full time position. 

Currently we are all working from home, but we are looking forward to getting back to the office in Ringsend, Dublin 4. While we cannot predict exactly when we'll be back in the office, we will institute a work from home policy. The details of that policy are currently in the works, but what is most important to us as an employer is striking the right balance of the "new normal” and ensuring flexible work/life balance for our employees with the in-office collaboration we've previously seen drive much success.  

As an account manager, you have a vital role to play in driving commercial success for your clients. Your relationship with and respect for your client and your colleagues is important. You are a solutions focussed person with a can do attitude that makes sure your client’s work is delivered on brief, on time and within budget, as you strive to exceed their expectations. You are always ahead of them, know their industry inside out and anticipate the challenges that will keep them up at night. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a partner and driver of your client’s business. Develop strong relationships with your team and clients and be the expert in your clients business.
  • Proactively bring your account director ideas, opportunities and solutions for your client’s business needs as well as ideas to grow the revenue on the account.
  • Apply strategic goals and objectives for client's business to project-specific work.
  • Review, evaluate, and critique all plans, proposals, work and ideas/output to ensure that work meets objectives/strategies, client needs and agency quality standards.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients at multiple levels; demonstrating a strong presence and partnering with clients to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and measure results.
  • Lead the account through cross-functional agency areas with a collaborative and organized communication style.
  • Demonstrate a clear, persuasive presentation style.
  • Manage junior-level team members 
  • Work closely with your creative team and manage the creative process from brief to deployment in short time frames for digital, email and social.
  • Support your supervisor on broadcast production management and trafficking such as TV, VOD and radio, owning projects when given control with a goal to run these in the future.
  • Lead weekly client status meetings and generate status reports.
  • Oversee all client billing and reconciliation, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Analysis jobs on a weekly basis to ensure hours are on track, spotting issues and bringing them to your supervisor's attention and working very closely with finance.
  • ​​​​​​​Monitor scope of work tracker with an aim to understand profitability of account.

Skills, Traits & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to clearly communicate ideas, strategies and processes through solid written and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to mentor and manage less experienced team members and provide clear direction, helping them reach their potential.
  • Organised, accountable and level headed, someone who is curious, is comfortable with change and short turnaround on projects and finds creative solutions to challenges. 
  • A people's person who works well with others and gains trust of clients and teammates, a proactive person who gets the job done, despite any obstacles.
  • Understanding of financial processes in an agency environment, with a strong business acumen and a natural interest in what is going on in the world is important in this role.
  • Experience working with a range of brands, from premium to start up, understanding the implications for brands working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience in omni-channel campaign production, with a proven track record of delivering multiple creative outputs to tight deadlines, managing budget, approvals working closely with producers and a media agency.

Qualifications
Ideally 3-5 years experience in account management in a creative agency or similar environment. If you are a Senior Account Executive doing the job of an account manager, now could be the time to move! This is a full time role.
