We are the ideators first, content creators second. we concept, curate and shepherd ideas for our clients through all media channels. We lead discussions around ideas, we welcome them from anyone and everyone and we craft executions to

differentiate our clients from their competition. It is these big ideas that differentiate US from our competition. All that we do links to empathic insights and the demonstration of shared values.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Digital Designer

Connelly Partners is looking for a digital designer with 4-5 year’s experience to join our already robust creative team. We are looking for people who eat, breathe and think digital media. Designers who might scare us with their thinking and blow us away with

their execution. Having the ability and desire to jump over the fence and work on more traditional media like logo design, print, video and broadcast is a huge plus. Candidates must align with our company values of empathy in the way they work, and they way

they design a user experience.

 

A day in the life of a digital designer at CP:

8:30 am: You have “music day”. This is a Connelly Partners tradition. You are in charge of music for the agency speakers for the day. Go nuts, no pressure but show us what you’ve got. 
8:35am: Meet with the Wellness team for a cool new website that needs to be created 
9:00am: Begin concepting session with a copywriter to work on ideas for said website. You come up with an app too. Bonus. 
10:30: Start working on the site map with our UX designer. You get so excited about this that you both duck away at the local “Buttery” coffee shop to fuel up and keep going. 
12:00: You can’t stop thinking so you work a little longer on your computer to map out some visual concepts despite the fact you are really starting to get hungry. 
1:00pm: Your stomach can’t take it anymore, so you head to either walk to the brand new 10,000 sq foot Whole Foods to enjoy something delicious, or take a turn at any of the local and delicious most-talked-about South End restaurants. 
2:00pm: As your working away at designs, you’re also answering emails about how awesome your music day is. 
2:30pm: You get pulled into a briefing for an entirely new job and new space. This time travel. An app for a new hotel that the Four Seasons is opening. 
3:00-4:30: You plug away at either job. Both are important. Both are cool as hell. Your energy level is increasing because of this. You’re probably thinking to yourself, “These people are so nice, the other shoe is bound to drop!” *it doesn’t. 
4:30-6pm: You touch base with your creative partner to discuss the ideas and the plan before tomorrow. You work on more together and come up with something else to show the Creative Director the following day (or days). 
7:00: You are home and enjoying dinner, your favorite TV show or out with a friend.

Steve Connelly is known to say “If you don’t have a life outside of this place, you are useless to me” So you take that to heart.

11:00: You’re still thinking about it. You can’t help it. It’s too cool.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Facility with all media (print, social, online, radio, possibly even TV); understanding of digital development while working on platforms is a plus

  • Conceptual thinker who is able to think both in terms of words and visuals and how they work together to solve real marketing problems

  • Team player

  • Ability to balance multiple projects

  • A grown up, who realizes that the business has never been tougher

 

Portfolios and references are a must.
